A little help in my dns setup for cname

Ok, here is the problem. When a client tries to go to my website and types in www.tesselate.us responds as a non-working destination. If you type it in as tesselate.us, it goes to the website. My hosting and website is being managed on godaddy if this helps any. I did go in the help app and went to domain management and then to DNS records.I created a cname for www with the value set at @. It’s not working I think. What am I doing wrong? Some guidance for this old man would be most appreciated.

When I do a lookup of your domain, this is what I see.

[louisk@iPwn louisk 103 ]$ host tesselate.us
tesselate.us has address
tesselate.us mail is handled by 1 aspmx.l.google.com.
tesselate.us mail is handled by 5 alt1.aspmx.l.google.com.
tesselate.us mail is handled by 5 alt2.aspmx.l.google.com.
tesselate.us mail is handled by 10 alt3.aspmx.l.google.com.
tesselate.us mail is handled by 10 alt4.aspmx.l.google.com.
[louisk@iPwn louisk 104 ]$

If you need tesselate.us to point at the same place as www.tesselate.us, you should be able to create an A record for www with the same IP. You will also need to ensure that what ever web server you’re using will accept requests for both tesselate.us and www.tesselate.us and “do the right thing”.
